Presentations on Flying to Mexico
10/20/2006

To EAA187:

Over the last several months I have had the opportunity to make presentations to several EAA chapters around the country on Flying to Mexico. I was very pleased with the attendance and interest demonstrated at these presentations. Unfortunately, my schedule has not allowed me to make additional presentations as requested by other EAA chapters.

However, we wanted to let our fellow EAA members in Texas know that we will be at booth 1707 at the AOPA Expo this year in Palm Springs, CA in the event that members plan to attend. There, we can answer questions and show them what is required to fly to Mexico.

In addition, I would like to let members know that due to interest and demand, we have added two new Fly-Ins to Mexico that depart from Brownsville, TX. I have added a little information below and I would encourage anyone interested in flying to Mexico to visit our website. These Fly-Ins are designed to take the hassle out and put the fun in, because we take care of everything.

Fly-Ins to Mexico
Caribbean Sky Tours is the only Fly-In organizer based in Mexico and specializes in Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula. Based in Cancun, we have over 45 years of combined experience in Mexico and have extensively traveled throughout the country. We are active participants at the national and regional level in General Aviation and we proudly support AOPA on matters related to General Aviation in Mexico. We also publish the “Pilot’s Guide to Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula” which covers procedures on Flying to Mexico and contains verified airport information for airports from Texas along the Gulf Coast of Mexico and all of Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula that are open to General Aviation aircraft visiting Mexico.

We are proud to present our Fly-In schedule to Pilots wishing to travel to this beautiful world!!

Being from Mexico brings a lot of advantages to our Fly-In customers:
  • We welcome you to our home, we are not “taking you” somewhere.
  • We speak the language and understand the culture so that we can maximize your experience in Mexico.
  • By personally visiting hundreds of hotels, restaurants, activities and destinations in Mexico, we try to pick those that will provide the best experience for you.
  • We work with ATC at the national and regional level so that the appropriate facilities will have your aircraft and pilot information before you ever arrive in Mexico.
  • Flying to, and within, Mexico is as natural to us as flying to your local airport is to you. We live here!

 Our Fly-Ins include:
  • Completely bi-lingual Caribbean Sky Tours staff that accompany you throughout the trip to assist with documentation and any travel needs.
  • Select accommodations at each destination that we have personally selected, to provide you with the comfort and service you deserve.
  • Meals as outlined in the trip itinerary at restaurants that we have personally selected.
  • All entrance fees and transportation to Group Activities that expose you to Mexican culture and exciting attractions/activities.
  • All transportation to and from airports.
  • Most tips and gratuities so that you don’t have to worry about what is appropriate.
  • Special farewell dinners to wrap up each trip.

All you have to do is fly your plane and enjoy!!

We look forward to being your hosts in this beautiful and mysterious part of the world.

Best regards
