EAA Chapter 187
Meeting Minutes March 6 2008
 
General:
The meeting was opened at 7.00 PM by Chapter President Rob Reese at Wells Branch Community Libreary
 
There were 17 members attending with no visitors present
 
Treasurer’s report:
Brad Bellamy reported the current Chapter balance is $ 20,519.00. Brad is going to check on using money market accounts. Chapter annual dues of $15.00 per member are due and should be paid directly to Brad.
 
Discussion:
Several members discussed the possibility of building a Chapter hanger at some convenient location. It was generally decided that it is not presently practical.
 
A resolution was presented by Dan Badwey to ensure that plaques for recognition of first flights, presented at the annual banquet, would be awarded only to current dues paying members of the Chapter. This resolution was passed unanimously.
 
Future Events:
March 29: Chapter 125, Taylor , holding a fly in and air race.
Planning for a Chapter 187 BBQ will need volunteers and someone to provide the use of a trailer.
July 10 meeting will include a program on flying U2s by Dallen Reese.
 
Projects:
Brad Bellamy showed photos of this progress on his RV fuselage.
Gary Hamilton has his RV ready to fly, waiting for insurance.
Eric Overton discussed manufacturing techniques on his Neuport 12 project
 
Program:
The owners of Nav Monster.com, an Austin based company, provided an excellent profile of the current development stage of their new flight planning software,
 
The meeting adjourned at approximately 9.00 PM.
