Minutes of meeting May 1 2008
 
General:
The meeting was opened at 7.00 PM at the Wells Branch Library by Rob Reese, Chapter President. There were 26 signed in attendees including visitors. There were no April meeting minutes since it was an informal meeting with no business conducted.
 
Visitors:
Chip Freitez, who is a Lakeway resident and is working on an RV9A
Carl Debower
Matt Oliver who is building an RV10
 
Treasurer’s Report:
Brad Bellamy reported that the end of April Chapter total bank balance was $ 20,467.68
Brad is working on an updated active member list, which is available on the website.
 
New Business:
The EAA B-17 “ Aluminum Overcast” is again on a national tour and will be in from October 30 to November 3. The members agreed to sponsor this stop and provide the necessary volunteers needed to support it during this stop.
 
Projects Discussed:
Tim Willis: Pietenpol
Bob Falk: RV redy to fly
Deene Ogden: RV8 Instruments, EFIS and electrical in progress
David Moziwc: Discussed Tri Trac with auto pilot and EFIS.
John Nunn: Moving wings on Thunderbolt to make way for fuselage.
 
Program:
Bill Bennett discussed procedure for obtaining a repairman’s certificate through the San Antonio FSDO.
 
Gary Hamilton very thoroughly outlined the step by step process of getting of getting through the DAR inspection on his RV7Aand arrangements for first flight. This RV7A is now flying.
 
The meeting closed at 9.00PM.
