EAA Chapter 187
Meeting minutes for December 4 2008
General:
The meeting was opened by Chapter President, Rob Reese at 7.15 PM.  There were 14 attendees including two visitors, Harlan Mize and Skip Blend who are both building RV6As. Minutes of the previous meeting were approved.
 
Treasurer’s Report:
Rob Reese presented the treasurers report indicating a current bank balance of
$ 20,122.16. Brad Bellamy expects to be working out of town for the next two months.
 
Coming events:
La Grange BBQ Dec. 6
BAZ Pancake breakfast Dec. 20
Brownwood Fly in Dec. 26
Chapter 187 award banquet Jan. 17
 
New Business:
A new meeting place at Old Quarry Library, near Far West Blvd., was agreed upon. Meetings will be the second Thursday of each month beginning February 2009.
 
After discussion it was decided to hold the annual Awards Banquet at the Estancia restaurant on Hwy 290 West of I35. Paid in advance cost will be $ 33.00 for members and spouses. A $ 500 expense was approved for door prizes.
 
Dan Badwey suggested two possible programs, an ice cream social and two people discussing their projects.
 
Project reports:
An extensive report on fabrication techniques, installation details and a discussion of the plans for his Nieuport 12 was given by Eric Overton.
 
Seth Hancock reported that the will have some new tooling for hisis Vagabond in February
 
Bill Bennet described his successful installation of a two axis autopilot system driven by a Dynon D100 EFIS on his RV10
 
Chuck Martin discussed the installation of cowls and cabin heat muff on his Zodiac XL
 
John Nunn discussed the details of the instrument panel built for his Thunderbolt.
After a social hour the meeting closed at 9.15 PM.
