EAA Chapter 187

Minutes of February 12, 2009 meeting

The meeting was opened by Chapter President Rob Reese at 7.00 PM at the Old Quarry Branch Library in Austin.

There were 23 attendees including visitors Michael Murphy and Kenneth Jackson.

The previous month’s minutes were unanimously approved.

The January banquet was discussed and that restaurant where it was held was great food but too noisy for the presentation part of a meeting.

The Treasurers report indicated an expected balance in the Chapter account of $21,330 at the end of February. Annual dues of $15.00 are now due and should be mailed to Brad Bellamy or handed to Rob Reese (outside the library--library rules!)

The next Chapter meeting will be held on March 12 at a location to be determined since the Austin Libraries are cutting back the evening open hours.

Other future activities are: March 7 a fly in at MacGregor ( Chapter 59)

March 7 & 8 an LSA exposition at Bryan.

Discussed a Possible Chapter 187 BBQ on March 21

Current Projects.

Seth Hancock displayed some impregnated nylon control bearings for his Vagabond.

His RV12 has fuselage skins in place.

Deene Ogden now has his RV at Georgetown airport for final assembly

Program:

Michael Gared made a fine detailed presentation of the use of tablet PCs in both fixed and portable installations for a wide range of aircraft types.

Michael also asked for assistance in developing new programs.

The meeting adjourned at 9.15PM
