Ultralight Flying across the USA! 4/7/2009
A lady from Oregon is flying an ultralight that has been converted to an e-LSA across the country from Sandy, OR to Sun-N-Fun. She is an EAA member.
She may fly into Burnett airport (KBMQ, which appears to be in the Austin, TX area), at least it is a planned stop. More information is at:
www.lessonsfromtheedge.com/uladventure2009.htm
She has a blog that will keep track of her progress: www.lessonsfromtheedge.com/b2evolution/blog1.php. It has links to real time Spot tracking of her progress.
The tentative itinerary is here.
If anyone knows of a source of ethanol free unleaded fuel in the Austin / Burnett area that would be helpful. They can let Arty know directly at arty@lessonsfromtheedge.com.
Arty's flight is to help raise awareness for young ladies in aviation and the need for ethanol free unleaded gasoline for airplanes. If any of your members are interested in helping spread either of these messages, I hope you will meet Arty if she lands at Burnett. For information about trying to secure ethanol free unleaded fuel for aviation please look at www.e0pc.com, one of the sponsors of Arty's flight. Dean Billing / Sisters, OR / EAA 47719
